Events and Activities

Every so often, it’s good to take a break and enjoy oneself. Therefore, as a community we would like to provide our volunteers with some fun, non-work things to do. All of these events will be open to people in the Asheville community, but volunteers can choose to participate in them too (and with a possible few exceptions, everything will be free of charge). Here’s some of the things we have in the works:

-Weekly community archery club

-Film screenings

-Trips to outdoor adventure spots (waterfalls, etc.)

-Movie nights

-Family dinner nights/cookouts/pizza nights

-Drum circles/story charing/music jam sessions

-Regular art markets/family-friendly Sunday afternoon gatherings

-Weekly classes in yoga, martial arts, chi gung, tai chi, meditation

-Lectures from local experts on subjects like plant identification, basketry, bow and arrow making, cheese making, mead making, passive solar energy, permaculture, tree grafting, mushroom identification, fire spinning, paper making, hinduism, plant spirit medicine, etc.

As spring nears, we will be posting a schedule of these events!
